Adding a skin

By Posted October 27, 2009 23:04:42

Im stuck, i've downloaded some skins from wincustomize, I have a couple zips, when I go to Skin options - install visual style from disk - point to zip. It just comes up with an error.

How can I possibly add skins please?

If you're talking about windowblinds, open up the zip file with WinZip or ObjectZip or whatever compressor you use.  In the zip file will be a file xxxxxx.wba  Extract the .wba file to a directory, double-click on it, Windowblinds will install it and pop up a message from the systray - takes say 10-20 seconds maybe.  I don't have Windowblinds config open when I do this, don't know if it matters or not.

If there are any other files in the zip file you want, like wallpapers, extract them out as well.

Yeah what he said

I normally make a folder where i unzip all my skins to all my skinns to, that way its easier to add the from the config.

The WinCustomize Wiki is a good place to start for a 'how to' on ObjectDesktop programs.
