PC World Takes a Look at Sins of a Solar Empire: Diplomacy

PC World’s Game Blog, “Game On”, has a featured article about the upcoming micro-expansion Diplomacy, for the award winning PC game Sins of a Solar Empire.

“Reportedly the expansion adds a new diplomatic tech tree that'll let you bolster your deal-brokering skills, adds diplomatic envoy ships (presumably to help craft treaties or facilitate dialogue during hostilities), and allows you to craft trade treaties with other factions.

The beta kicks off this fall, and it'll be a lengthy beta--the general release isn't due until winter 2010 (winter on the frontside, that is). I guess we should be grateful it's only half a year in testing, considering how long real diplomacy can take.”

It says in the announcement it's the final micro expansion, wasn't there supposed to be three?

The beta's coming out this spring right (Fall for the Northern Hemispere), with final comming out at the start of next year?

And with all the rumors about no 3rd micro expansion pack, then what happened to all the talk about them making 3 micro-expansions and then possibly releasing all together as a bundle in stores....or was that just talk back then? Not concrete plans?

Hope you guys make a 3rd expansion....attack oriented...or even economic?...more content (moons!!!!!!!!)...since we have defense and diplomacy....the 3rd should be DESTRUCTION....(and I'm delirious so don't mind me).
