Elemental and Demigod sites need access to this forum

By Posted March 7, 2009 08:40:01

I suspect this is simply because both sites are relatively new but I would think that this universal "Forum Issues" forum should be accessible to both the Elemental and Demigod sites but it's not.

Elemental also needs a "site issues" forum. Demigod already has one.

Where's "here"?

It could be any of 12 different sites. Well, actually only 10 since it's been established that Elemental and Demigod don't have access to this forum.

The point being that to you this may be "crap" whereas to many others the stuff you consider to be important is "crap".

In any case this is an explicit "support" forum whose purpose is to request support and therefore is not suitable for the discussion of what you may or may not consider to be "crap".

Please see the sticky 'Forum Issues' Moderation Policy thread if you have any confusion as to the purpose of this forum.

I'm talking about JU and JU alone. There used to be lots on interesting, cool blogs here but anymore it all this...crap.

Thanks, Mumble. I second the request re Elemental. We have two balky threads over there, one that ran into a FireFox-related bug re long pages and another that just somehow broke the table formatting twoards the end of the thread (tables are back to normal on the following page).

Then maybe it's time the blog function was split from the forums.

I'll drink to that. [e digicons][/e]

Which posts are showing up on JoeUser that you think shouldn't?

Introduce chaos into an otherwise "quiet place" where the common interest for a SINGLE game (GalCiv2, btw) takes everyone attention then what you will get is Forum confusions, somehow.

Don't get me wrong, i've got nothing against DemiGod or Elemental (both are great SD products) but what else can a Fantasy or WoWlike-FPS shooting driven player add to my Sci-Fi galactic conquest preference for RTS 4X gameplay conditions & needs that i can't have already from the current labyrinth of randomized threads here, as it is now?

Not trying to isolate GC from the greater scheme of things, either... everybody has its personal taste for 'subjective' information available web-wide. But, tell me - what stops anyone from linking straight to A dedicated site that exists already?

I figure this is another symptom of the globalization ways of recent years whereas chitchatting about Off-Topic (this term being a very relative interpretation of MANY other situations, btw) subjects becomes the socialization point - gathering around cantina tables and blowing up opinions on every other conversations BUT gameplay for Galactic Civilization II as per the logo above this very page.

Sure, it's the way of the future too, i'm no fool. Stay focused and you'll get somewhere, spread your energy towards multiple targets and you're bound to miss one goal if not more. Or like Gretzky once said - you miss every shot you don't take.

Btw, this isn't Blogging (well, at least, from whatever reputation this kinda stuff has been getting already) either (i agree) -- it's a Forum for gameplayers who share exact or similar interests.

To me and possibly more, btw.

EDIT;

In any case this is an explicit "support" forum whose purpose is to request support and therefore is not suitable for the discussion of what you may or may not consider to be "crap".

Oooopps, sorry Mumble, i had skipped the above before responding and didn't realized we all are IN the proper Off-Topic/Support section as we should... then , it makes sense to open up the doors for our fellow gamers from Demigod & Elemental so that they can also enjoy their own areas for discussions or somethin'. Right here or overthere.

To be honest I have no idea which postings appear where else. These interdependencies sure are confusing... [e digicons][/e]

Resolved.  Poster pasted from a Microsoft formated document and hosed everything.

If that happens again, PM a mod; we'll take care of it.

Oooopps, sorry Mumble
No problem in my book. I always find your view of forums/life/whatever to be both unique and refreshing even though I seldom think that I understand half of what it is that you're saying.

But this *is* a support thread and so unessential chatter should probably be kept to a minimum.
