What do you think would be the best game made!? (Replies needed)

I hear this everyday.

What do you think would be the best game and its not hard to understand when I mean by one game. Thats why I said "best game". Not best games; in plural form. Just to clarify that. This game can be anything: Fantasy, Board Games, RTS-Real Time Strategy, Turn Based, Action, Shooting, Sci Fi, so on and so forth; the list goes on.

But yes as I said I talked to a friend of mine that deals in gameing and he has told, like everyone else that it is impossible to create a game the would be the best ever made. I mean how can one game satify anyone who plays or sees and or hears of it. That should answer on the who part thats playing it.

So what do you think?

I think you need to better define 'game' and 'made', probebly 'best' as well.

I don't think "impossible" is the correct term to describe answering the question as stands, I think "idiotic" is more realistic.  I mean no offence, but that is such an opinionated question, that I do not think it should ever be asked by anybody.   And anybody who would straight up answer it without the disclaimer of "I think" is probebly somebody who gives their own opinion more value than they should.

Maybe "what do *YOU* think is the best game?"  or "What is your favorite game", but never "what is the best game?"   Answers to those 1st two questions are easy to make.  I'll even accept "what game does XXX the best?" since that is specific enough that it can be approched from a scholarly and factual point of view.  I give give plenty of reasons why I think certain games are among the best games ever made.  However I would never ever say they 'ARE the best games ever made' because I'm not that arrogant to think my opinion is 100% correct.

( no countering with Niche 'superman' arguements.  I'll accept that if Niche is correct, his 'superman' might have an opinion worth using to dictate 'the best video game' but I doubt he'd be wasting his time with such questions anyway)

(btw, I'm in a bad mood, and I'm aware that I sound very nasty in the above paragraphs.  Sorry to any who I might offend, please don't take anything I say personally)

I mean how is it possible to create the perfect game that everyone likes.

define "everyone"...every gamer perhaps? or everyone person (in the world?) so as to intice those who donot play games to start.

It's not possible. actually defining everyone really doesn't matter, people are individual and trying to find a single product that everyone will like is not realistic.

really if you think about it is there ANY single product on the market, game or otherwise (clothes, shoes, TVs, DVDs, you get the point) that every body likes and has purchased??? No.

Perhaps a procedurally generated game... Generated based on thought patterns in your brain telling it exactly what you want. It would essentially use some sort of device to read your mind, and then put it all together to figure out exactly what it was you wanted to have in the game. Then it would generate said content. It would take into account both concious and subconcious, so you would not only have what you wanted conciously but also what you didn't even know you wanted.

Sure, its a little sci-fi, but not totally inconcievable in the future.

The joke is on us all and yet, what makes laughing so appealing to most people?

Besides, everyone knows it's quite impossible to reproduce or mimic the feelings & emotional mind states of real S*x; although many tried without any success.

I think the main flaw there is budget.  Nobody is willing to throw enough money to really create a high budget sexual game (which is why we have mostly cheap Bishoujo and strip poker games).   If we as western culture had a significant change enough that people would talk about sex in the forfront (without feeling the need to put a ' * ' to censor it? ) and that reproducing those feelings be the main discussion at more 'educated' developer tables, I'm sure we'd be a lot closer to mimicing that emotional state than we are right now.

I'm not suggesting that we do so, just that is how it is.   That being said, I'd be interested to try it someday, maybe with my retirement fund I'll have a good sex game developed (then cry when it flops because censorship laws will be so strict by that point, I couldn't sell it anywhere other than in person on a yacht 2 miles out to sea, having been forced to arrange the yacht venture over a shopping site that has crazy age-verification software that prevents it from working on most computers)

Why would you guys talk about sex games all iflliated with the plessures you all want.

To want what you can't have is one story but, to want and take what you can't have is rape. And this is not rape physcally but, mentally. Trust me. You may think of me as some fag or a luny as I write this but, as I stand alive here on a planet slowly decaying into oblivion by our own hands to know not of what we are doing. Its ludicracy. All i have asked was impute on the gaming field not to start up some porno industry.

I just wanted to make sure that we all who read this know of how I stand!
