It's good to be back from blue hell!

By Posted July 15, 2008 20:13:41

I updated to WB v6.10a[b].144 not long ago.I just ran 6.10b[b].146 in Impulse and after a prompt for reboot,I did so and got a BSOD just before the logon screen. It then shut down, gave me a boot screen followed by a bunch of startup error messages with repair options.

I let it repair itself ,apparently by using system restore and here I am.( some of you don't use it,unwise, imo)
So now I show  v.144 as installed,I'm back among the living and don't have a damn clue what to do now.
What was in that update and why did it try to kill me?
I have never had any problems with any updates doing this before. In fact,it's  only my second blue screen ever.
Now pardon me,I have to go change my pants.

Hey Wizard, uninstall .144, uncheck show pre-release version, install last release version ( can't remember version number), you can then recheck show pre-release versions and update to .146.

.144 was a bad version that caused issues between MyColors and WB.

To all those that laughed at my misfortune,THANKS,I needed that.

My BSOD was far less than my sister got last week.Lightening took out her phones, modem, router and two computers. All I needed was clean shorts!
