The Yuuzhan Vong have arrived and you shall know pain. We are recruiting new members. While it seems rather popular to be "anti-Kzinti" we are not. Competition is a good thing and we are looking for active players. While a "new" empire we are collective of folks from the old Arrakis Imperium and Galactic Empire. Noobs and old timers welcome

It seems as though we at a few too many of those lizards, for the Geckodon Alliance is no more. Luckily we saved enough of them in our hunting preserves and they havent gone extinct.

Wow talk about a short lived empire. Ah well, I have been around long enough to see many empires come and go. I recall a time when the Overmind ruled the Galactic Map. I look forward to the TA expansion breathing some life into the Metaverse ocne again.

Are the ToE and the Yuuzhan Vong the only hold outs against the plague known as the Kzinti? It does seem that too many empires fall into the fold of the Kzinti, i guess we are not tasty enough for the Kzin to come after us Vuk. That or they see us as too powerful a foe for them to overcome.

We in the ToE will bide our time and watch for the fall of the kitty cats from their high perch just as the Diplo's, Orcas and HCH before them have done.....

Maybe then we can clean some of this cat hair out of the place...

Ahhhh.... My first suicidal level victory. A sweet, savory thing it is. However, given the 2 days of nail-biting that it caused, I think I'm gonna slide it down a notch or two for the next campaign.

Congrats Nihilus and great work Hidar as well. The Yuuzhan Vong has crossed the 1 million points mark. This is a grand day for our empire. We have less that 500,000 to go before we subjugate the Qourth Deadlands. The Browncoats will follow shortly there after and once again we will reclaim the 8th rank. I'm not sure if there's much life left in the Gero's (Old folks take a great deal of naps - lol).

Grr. That Control N error killed my score on my last game. This is getting really annoying.

are you getting it alot? its always seemed to be pretty rare to me, maybe 1:50 or even higher. That sucks though in any case.

I use it for my ZYWs, not on longer larger games, but I havent had it happen for quite a long time. I thought that perhaps they had fixed it.

DSep stole an incredibly dangerous weapon that was supposed to be diasembled on one on of our worlds! He's gonna arm it! Quickly stop him!

ZYW's What are those? I've noticed this error a fair amount too. Perhaps is is a subtle cyber-attack by one of these upstarts food species that have escaped from the Kzinti hunting preserves. Kind of reminds me of the time the crickets got loose in the comparitive anatomy lab. Whole darn building had crickets for a week.

ZYW stands for "Zero Year Win" or a win in the first year by Dec. 22nd. They have become particularly popular amongst the Kzinti and the Tyranny empires as a fast and easy way to climb the AltMeta board and also, to a much lesser extent, climb the MV board also.

as for the Ctrl-N bug; I haven't seen it happen to me in a very long time, actually not at all since I upgraded to DA1.80g but that's not to say that its not still there.

Zero Year Win. Very fast games on suicidal in a tiny galaxy. I always end mine on April 8th, which is the earliest date you can win on.

They are not very satisfying games, but they are great for the Altmeta and for gaining more medals.

The earliest I've been able to get a win is by March 22nd of the first year. I had to wait til April 8th, because a game has to be over 12 turns or it trips the cheat flag.

lol...i type too slow. As for the fastest win, it was on a very favorable map but Feb 8th would be the quickest. March 15-22 is about average though.

Thanks guys. So where is this ZYW guide, I think I'd like to give it a try to join the club.

The current challenge Vuk, once you have gotten your head around doing the ZYW quickly, is to break 30K and ultimately beat 32900K.

That is the current highest ZYW score achieved.

I'm getting closer...I got a 29050 point ZYW tonight.
