You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be...

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for another 80 octals of days since that auspicious day. We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 21 million more light years than the second most powerful empire. The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 43.4% of this galaxy. Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest. We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for almost 16 months running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

Hello Kzinti Empire, it seems you've grown stronger than I last saw. However, that will not last for long, for you see, the Geckodon Alliance has returned, and they're won't be any giving up. Our warriors have missed the taste of Kzinti flesh and are excited to taste it again. Hope to see you on the battlefield.

KP, i'm gonna try get another game up soon. Not big, just a smally. If I can't finish it (Which is the most likely case) you'll know now it is because i'm a lazy bum [e digicons]:grin:[/e] , and can't really muster the enthusiasm to complete anything I finish.

Good to hear....remember that the most important thing is to have fun with it. I've got a big game in the works which is slowly progressing. I havent built quite so many ships before and its starting to really slow down my computer. I'm good with 3 gigs of RAM now, but its probably time for a new video card.

:WAR UPDATE:

never mind it's not another smally.

Gigantic map, abundant everything and 8 races aswell as 8 minor race. Best part is I am domiateing with an Economy so strong it can recover from a 20000BC lose in 3 month, tops. My influence donimated the Acrean Empire who no longer exist thanx to me setting every race against them and my overpowering influence. Currently I own a good quater of the map and am turning my attention to the enslavement of the minor races within my territory, I will have a pure empire. most embarrishing part i guess is that I'm bottem of the ladder and overpowering everyone who challenges me, They seriously judge me on military power when really that is not going to save ANY race when they go to war with me. I say it will be a good win, only been 4 years so everything is just starting. I am leading in research partly because it's all been traded. Taxes remain at 33% and industry uses 100% with 500BC extra going into my treasury each week. Morale holds at 99%-100%

This is a great improvement from my last game where my economy was at an uneven 250BC per week at industry held at 91% with my Tax at 33%. Not to meantion things seem to be running more smoothly, well smooth for me. I have an nice web of wars going on between ALL races. I failed in this department when the Dogs of Razaka and the Iconian Empire signed an Alliance so that will be difficult considering the Dogs come second as far as Influence goes and they are build around the Iconians making it very difficult for me to navigate to them should war break out.

On a side note my game has crashed 3 times already, CPU keeps overloading so I better cull the Race populations down a bit. More slaves less ships.

Sounds like a fun game CatPharoah! [e classic]:hot:[/e] One question I have about your game though, is why is your tax rate so low, and/or why do you want morale to be so high? At 100% morale you get a big boost to your population growth, and above 75% you get a bonus also, so thats good for when your planets have a long way to go, but after they're grown, low taxes doesnt do anything other than hurt your cash-flow and economy. With higher taxes you'll also be able easily raise your main slider to 100% capacity...if I read you correclty and that's what is set at 93%. If you like dominating by influence and are playing TA, make sure you go evil and build the Mind Control Center. The galaxy will swiftly fall to your mighty influence!

My missing Spies Merchants finally stole learned the password to your WarRoom Core Bar to download secret data buy some drinks for everyone, you know, to be nice, but the problem is that when they said the password, they prrrrrrrrred thier K's in "KKKitty KKKitty" and then they were never seen agained. Was that the right password? [e digicons]:-"[/e]

A report said that a airlock was not working right in that area, you might want to check into that airlock because I have alot of Merchants disapearing in that area here latly. [e digicons]:rofl:[/e]

Ok so lower my moral too 75% or so and up taxes. that would up my treasury definately. Would that also up my production output?

Also I'd like to say the Mind control centers work wonders. Got one on every planet. Since the Economic suggestion I have made a total of 5 terror stars for my war efforts against the Iconian refugee and the Dogs of Razaka (dog race, very powerful, Arch rival). I have an alliance with the Yor, The Yiutopia (Ant race, Not so powerful but extremely organised and strong production capabilities.) and the Drengin. Their mistake though, their soon to be conquored by influence or by force (yor by force, i'll save them till last though when I have enough terror stars. I really can't be stuffed aquiring planet with more than 8 billion people).

I noticed that all AI's seem intent on using Beam, weapons. In harder levels do they eventually use other types of weapons coz i'm wasting space with Armour and Point defence systems.

Oh another question about race setup. If i have an overpowering influence, is there really any need to have loyalty upgrades? otherwise i'd up my diplomacy level so i can Aquire technologies, ships, bases and planets cheaper.

PS. I really need to stop practising on normal level .
