GalCiv2 AltMeta+Statbot

I am happy to introduce a new AltMeta and Statbot for GC2, combined on one site.

The main page features rankings of Empires and Characters by AltMeta Score and Games Submitted.

Empire stat pages give graphs of various game statistics and rankings of the players in the empire.

Player pages give the same graphs for each individual character.

The AltMeta scores are a straight total, with scores decayed by 1/6 of their value per month;
after six months, scores are no longer counted at all. All stat graphs also cover only games
submitted in the past six months.

At this time the site only gathers data on the top 50 empires on the official metaverse,
and the characters within them. No unaligned players or other empires are inclued at this time.

This is a personal project, not endorsed or supported by Stardock, so direct any questions or
comments to me and me alone. Hopefully everyone finds this useful

You guys ain't seen nothing yet. The changes that will be coming will definitely blow you away. We (and by we I mean Kryo) are getting ready to release a very rough preliminary 'beta' of the AltMeta Brackets. Keep your eyes open but we'll be sure to make a big fuss about it throughout these forums. Even then keep in mind that the first showing of this will probably only have the tip of the iceberg functionality, but the MVC has been encouraging Kryo to put something out ASAP even though it's far from ready. We'd like to get people's opinions about it as well as show that the MVC is capable of motivating some real positive changes.

I have been very interested in this project by the MVC and Kryo.

From what I have read we can all ;as Metaverse gamers; look forward to something pretty special. These things do take a long time to perfect and as much input as possible is always appreciated.

I was looking up my scores and rankings on the Metaverse and on the Alt Meta, and I noticed that I am not listed on the Alt Meta for some reason

. I am still listed on the regular Metaverse. Is there some sort of "glitch"?

Seems there was a database limitation causing the latest 15 members of HCH from showing up--should be fixed up now.

I understand the first list but not the next 5 (e.g., Solar [CIV])?

Great work on the AltMeta. I am new to the game and had a question, on your site you say "Unaligned players are not included in the AltMeta, regardless of individual rank on the official metaverse. Only those in the top 100 empires are processed"

What exactly is unaligned, and currently I reached 107 on the empire list. Does that mean when I get under 100 my Empire would appear.

Unaligned means anyone not in an empire. So long as you're in one, even if it's a one-man empire, you can get listed. However due to some limitations of the server, it no longer automatically updates anyone in the top 100 empires; anyone not listed just needs to ask to be added, and once done they're on the list to track permanently.

I noticed that my scores (data) for Brezelius (or is it Berzelius) don't show up on the HCH empire totals.

They do show up on the Altmeta as a whole. Is this some sort of glitch or am I overlooking something? I would appreciate if you could take a look at it for me.

How exactly do you mean it's not showing?

When I go to Empire Alt Stats I do not appear in any of the catagories (games submitted, etc.) My games do show up elsewhere - just not under the HCH empire stats.

Very odd, your character page does show you as in the HCH. I'll have to investigate this when I get a chance (If I don't get back here this week, just bump the thread to remind me).
